Season 3 Episode 10 Fishing Challenge - Ball Rig VS Apollo Rig

It was raining very heavily in the morning so we had an extremely late start after hanging around the coffeeshop at West Coast waiting for the rain to stop. When the rain stopped, we wanted to see whether the Ball Rig or the Apollo Rig was more effective. We tried anchoring and drifting, and a clear winner emerged. In the next episode, we'll try Rod and Ball Rig VS Traditional Hong Kong Hook Handlining. Guess who won?

ONZZ Season 3 Episode 8 Ubin Fishing with Old Friends

It was nice to meet up with some old friends such as Adrian and Samuel (See my blog archives for posts from around 1999 to 2003.) Pauline and Richard came along and we had a good time with some really hungry Garoupas and Barramundis around Ubin and Tekong.

I also decided to try out some Pioneer fishing tackle for my next trip because they are reasonably priced and seem to be of decent quality and workmanship. Let's see how they turn out. I'll feature some reviews of this particular brand from Season 3 Episode 9 onwards. Next week, I get to test them on some big garoupas of the Southern Islands.
